Things of beauty...and a long, warm weekend...: "Here again...another Friday list of prettiness; whatever might have taken my fancy this week. Today heralds the start of the Easter weekend, which to me means family and quieter times, seeing friends, resting up. Of course I couldn't not mention the weather which, as I look out today, is shaping up to be a beautiful sunny day. Maybe a late beach visit this afternoon? Cook fish on the barbecue?

I've been trying to just take some time of late, to work through chores more mindfully, to concentrate on the task in hand rather than just muddle through. I need to get more centred on what I am doing. I need to keep my nostalgia in check, as much as I love it, looking back all the time is counter-productive. Time to look forward and to plan...

Can you imagine??

Kate attended a wedding rehearsal at Westminster Abbey yesterday.

All the weekend papers covered it. For those of you who

plan to watch the wedding UK time, I have provided

details below with thanks to The Daily Telegraph.

Westminster Abbey

1. Clarence House

10:10am

Prince William and Harry leave Clarence House for Westminster Abbey.

The brothers are due to arrive at 10:15am.

10:38am

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall leave for Westminster Abbey.

The couple will arrive at the abbey at 10:42am.

2. Buckingham Palace

10:35am

The Duke of York, the Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York,

the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and

Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence leave for Westminster Abbey.

They arrive at 10:40am.

10:40am

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh leave Buckingham Palace

for Westminster Abbey. They arrive at the abbey at 10:45am.

3. The Goring Hotel, Victoria

10:20am

Carole Middleton, Miss Middleton's mother and James Middleton,

her brother, leave for Westminster Abbey. They are due to arrive at 10:27am.

10:51am

The bride, accompanied by Michael Middleton, her father,

leaves for Westminster Abbey, via The Mall. This route is yet to be confirmed.

4. Westminster Abbey

Non-Royal Arrivals

8:15-9:45am

The general congregation

From 9:50am

Governors-general and prime ministers of realm countries,

the diplomatic corps, and other distinguished guests.

10:20am

Members of foreign royal families arrive at Westminster Abbey

from Buckingham Palace.

11:00am

The marriage service begins. The service will be relayed by audio

speakers along the route.

12:15am

The carriage procession of the wedded bride and bridegroom with a captain's escort

of the Household Cavalry, followed by the Queen's procession with a sovereign's escort

of the Household Cavalry, leaves Westminster Abbey for Buckingham Palace.

5. Buckingham Place

12:30pm

The bride's carriage procession arrives.

12:40pm

Members of the Royal family and foreign royal families arrive.

1:25pm

The Queen and the bride and bridegroom, together with their families,

will appear on the balcony.

1:30pm

Fly Past by the Royal Air Force and

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
